Chenies Manor House
Winner of an Historic House & Christie's Garden of the Year Award.
Home of the MacLeod Matthews family. The 14th & 15th Century Manor House with fortified tower is the original home of the Earls of Bedford, visited by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
The Manor is surrounded by five acres of enchanting gardens including a sunken garden, white garden, physic garden, kitchen garden and two metre high Yew Maze.
Guided tours of the gardens by appointment with no extra charge.

Bank Holiday Monday 1st May - "Tulip Festival" with hundreds of Bloms tulips throughout thegardens.
Bank Holiday Monday 29th May 2-5pm.
Famous Plant & Garden Fair Sunday 16th July 10am-5pm (House opens from 2pm) 70 Plant specialist from around the country. Refreshments all day. Gardens open from 10am. Adults £8 - children £4.
Bank Holiday Monday 28th August 2-5pm "Dahlia Festival" with many varieties throughout the five acre gardens.
