An ambitious garden of 6 acres, created since 1996, growing continuously in renown and in extent. A Spring display of tulips is followed by a succession of Summer growth, starting with montana clematis and building up to a crescendo of dahlias, salvias and Autumn colour.
The success of the garden is that it works as a whole despite having many distinct areas; the Front Garden, Rickyard, Orchard and Courtyard are heavily planted, each with a subtle difference of style. The Front Garden is an ebullient burst of colour, the Rickyard has swathes of planting contrasting with ordered topiary, the Courtyard a mix of exotic architectural leaf forms and succulents. The Orchard has an ever changing herbaceous border leading out to the specie rich marsh on the valley floor and the Pembrokeshire landscape beyond.
The Bog Garden, centred by a shining Obelisk, is particularly impressive. Nicky's Field, a geometric display of ornamental grasses, leads on to the pond. The Magic Garden above the house affords a full view of Mynydd Dinas (Dinas Mountain).
