Festival launch with Peter Gibbs – Saturday 27th May 2017 (16:30 from Porthmadog to Tan-y-Bwlch)
We are delighted to welcome regular chair of the popular Radio 4 show Gardeners’ Question Time and former BBC weatherman, Peter Gibbs, to North Wales to open the 2017 festival. Come and join Peter for a convivial evening hosted by the Ffestiniog Railway and Plas Tan y Bwlch. Tickets, £30 include steam train travel from Porthmadog, coach transfer, a buffet supper, talks and a guided walk around Plas Tan y Bwlch’s Victorian gardens. To book please call 01766 516024
The historic Victorian gardens contain many rare and exotic shrubs and trees from around the world and are a garden for all seasons. The gardens are complimented by an excellent tea room serving a variety of home-made cakes and snacks. Guided or self-led visits can be arranged all year round.
