Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park

The award-winning 30 acre Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park, near Ripon, attracts 10,000 visitors annually, and is widely considered to have the North’s largest collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias. There are nearly 20,000 plants including 1,400 rhododendron varieties, 250 azalea varieties and over 200 magnolias, as well as a wide range of ornamental trees.

Exotic names flourishing here include; Schefflera Impressa from Northern India; Rhododendron Sinofalconieri; a 120 year old rhododendron Loderi Venus; a Daphniphyllum Macropodum from Korea and a Catalina Ironwood from California.

The gardens now have 3 lakes and nearly 70 sculptures by widely acclaimed artists. Features include; bridges, a pagoda from Bali and a thatched summerhouse built in 1900.

The nursery sells many different varieties of rhododendron, as well as many other ericaceous shrubs and perennials.
