New Book Published
The first major book on Cotswold gardens for almost 15 years was published on November 16th 2009.

The Cotswolds’ Finest Gardens features 50 of the regions best loved gardens, including, Abbey House Gardens, Buscot Park, Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate Court, Sezincote and Sudeley Castle.
The author is BBC garden writer, broadcaster and former Head Forester of Westonbirt Arboretum, Tony Russell. “I am really excited about this book, which has been over two years in the making. The Cotswolds is widely recognised as one of the best regions in Britain for gardens, but until now they have never all been celebrated within one book. From grand landscapes surrounding stately homes to stream-side cottage gardens, the horticultural diversity to be found in the Cotswolds is really quite astonishing.”
Within the book, each garden is represented by beautiful photography and evocative and informative text covering each garden’s history, the people associated with it and detailed descriptions of landscape and plants.
The Cotswolds’ Finest Gardens is published by Amberley Publishing, it is in hardback, runs to 160 pages and will be on sale at all good bookshops at £18.99.

The Western Daily Press featured The Cotswold’s Finest Gardens in a recent interview with Tony Russell who talks about how he first became interested in gardening and how he came to write this book.
