The Original Garden Visitor's Guide

Kentchurch Court

In Spring, snowdrops, wood anemone, and wild daffodils carpet the Rhododendron Wood. Following on, with around 50 species cultivars of rhododendrons and azaleas planted in the 1950’s. Embothrium, Eucrypia, Enikanthus, Magnolia, Halesi and Styrax provide an interesting planting in this mature woodland setting.

In Autumn, Acer, Betula, Cornus, Euonymas, Quercus and Cercidiphyllum, provide wonderful colour. The newly created Walled Garden contains 20 different geranium species, 14 digitalis species and cultivars (largely perennial) and 9 nepita species.

The Vegetable Garden is divided into 3 areas. Vegetable plots, pergola (covered with roses and clematis) and a newly planted area with spring bulbs and cherry trees. The herbaceous borders will hopefully be of interest to visitors throughout the season with euphorbia, peonies, Echinacea, crocosmia, perennial phlox and asters. Homemade cakes and tea are a perfect way to finish a visit to the gardens here at Kentchurch Court.
