Tregenna Castle

Tregenna Castle’s Estate spans across 72 acres, with captivating views of the harbour and the famous beaches of St Ives. Cornwall’s moderate climate means that the garden has a vibrant and flourishing atmosphere. The gardens are not traditional show gardens but rather they provide a picturesque backdrop for the estate.

This backdrop provides shaded, winding walkways that are perfect for you to spend an afternoon exploring or even playing a game of hide and seek with the little ones. In spring you’ll find snowdrops and daffodils emerging that brighten the gardens as it awakens after winter. Catkins, vivid green shoots, and bluebells carpet the wooded areas as we move further into spring. Summer provides the perfect climate for the garden’s vibrant flowering shrubs to thrive. In the walled sub tropical garden you can see the full potential of the Cornish climate as you’ll find pale pink and magenta peonies and mauve and lavender rhododendrons that provide bright bursts of colour.

A sea of daisies cover the lawns. Why not sit down, relax, and while away some time making daisy chains and enjoying the sun with your loved ones?
