Anglesey Garden Shortlisted for The Nation’s Favourite Garden
The Hidden Gardens at Plas Cadnant are excited and honoured to have been shortlisted for “The Nation’s Favourite Garden”. Plas Cadnant, along with 27 other gardens, has been shortlisted from hundreds across Wales and England to be voted on by the public at www.theenglishgarden.co.uk/ngs before 30th September. The competition is run through a team up between The English Garden magazine, the National Garden Scheme and Sisley Garden Tours and runs until 30th September. The public will be able to vote for their favourite garden at The English Garden website. There will be a winner for each of category (Public Gardens; Wales and Borders; North; Midlands; East; South East; and South West) as well as an overall winner with the winning gardens being revealed in late Autumn 2023. Plas Cadnant is listed under the “Public Garden” category. Owner of Plas Cadnant, Anthony Tavernor is overjoyed with the announcement, saying “it is truly a delight to have been shortlisted for such an award and with the winners being chosen by the public. To win would be a great honour.” The gardens have been open to the public since 2012 and Anthony’s goal is to place them on a sustainable footing so that they can be enjoyed by visitors for decades to come and not to be lost as they once were. Anthony and his team urge anyone who has enjoyed exploring the gardens to take just a few moments to vote for Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens in this competition. |
