A fabulous six-acre garden, which has been evolving since 1996. The spring display of tulips metamorphoses into lush summer growth,
resplendent with montana clematis and building to a crescendo of dahlias, salvias and irresistible fiery autumn colour.
The brilliance of the garden is that it works as one body, despite comprising distinct areas; the Front Garden is an ebullient burst of colour; the Rickyard has swathes of planting contrasting with ordered topiary; the Courtyard is a mix of exotic architectural leaf forms and succulents.
The Orchard borders are generously planted with grasses, asters, sanguisorba and eupatorium, leading to the specie-rich marsh on the valley floor and the typical Pembrokeshire landscape beyond. The Bog Garden is centred on a striking mirrored obelisk. Nicky's Field, with its geometric display of ornamental grasses, leads down to the pond. Finally, the Magic Garden above the house affords a beautiful panorama of Mynydd Dinas (Dinas Mountain).
