About the Event
The Great Kent Chilli Festival is warming up Hole Park on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July, a great weekend for chilli enthusiasts, food lovers and families. We are lining up a HOT WEEKEND of ‘chilli fiesta’ with stalls selling chilli sauces, chilli cheeses, chilli jams, chilli plant and even chilli ceramics!
We’ll have cooking demonstrations; talks on growing chillies; artisan food producers; music; international street food; a chilli cook-off and of course chilli-eating competitions! Hate chilli? Don’t worry as we’ll have plenty for you too!
We’ll have the chilli-con carne cook-off, run by the UK Chilli Cook-Off Association, open to pre-registered teams to battle it out for the Kent title and a place at the National Finals (Sunday only – why not enter a team?). We’ve got a chilli eating competition on both days at 4pm – are you brave enough to enter? Plus the public get a chance to judge our Chilli sauce competition!
So if you enjoy the sensation of steam coming out of your ears then this is the Chilli Festival for you! Come and join us at this fun and friendly festival at Hole Park, full of heat (whatever the British weather) with all things chilli for you to try and buy. Participate or sit back and watch others, or pick-up some handy cookery or growing tips from the experts!
Hole Park season tickets and all other discount or membership tickets are not valid during the festival. The Coach House Tea Room located in the Stable Yard at Hole Park will be open to the Chilli Festival visitors. Entry to the garden is included within the festival entry price.
Opening times 10am – 5pm / Tickets available in advance or on the gate. Free parking. We regret that the Garden is not open to non-Chilli Festival visitors during the Chilli Festival weekend.
