The Royal Gardens at Highgrove

Asset 1

Over 38 years in the making, the organic gardens at Highgrove are some of the most creatively inspiring and innovative gardens to visit in the UK. These private gardens of TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall demonstrate The Prince of Wales's belief in sustainable methods, encouraging both plants and wildlife to thrive in a very natural environment.

Weaving around the house, each garden in this interlinked series has its own distinct character and style, from the lush, otherworldly appearance of the Stumpery, dotted with beautiful structures and unique sculptures, to a wildflower meadow teeming with life and a Kitchen Garden abundant with produce.

Apart from the many favoured and rare varieties of flowers, trees, fruits and vegetables, Highgrove is also home to part of the National Collection of Beech trees and large leaved Hostas. Visiting the Gardens provides an insight into the imagination of HRH The Prince of Wales who in directing the skills of many craftsmen and artists has created a garden of wonder and surprise.
