The Royal Gardens at Highgrove
The stunning organic Royal Gardens at Highgrove are some of the most creatively inspiring and innovative gardens to visit in the UK. These private gardens of TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall demonstrate The Prince of Wales's belief in sustainable methods, encouraging both plants and wildlife to thrive in a very natural environment.
Weaving around the house, each garden in this interlinked series has its own distinct character and style. From the magnificence of the Thyme Walk and beauty of the Kitchen Garden, to the otherworldly setting of the Stumpery and impressive Arboretum, visitors will experience seasonal highlights in the unique gardens HRH has crafted while enjoying the rich variety of flora and fauna that sit in succinct harmony with nature.
Apart from the many favoured and rare varieties of flowers, trees, fruits and vegetables, Highgrove is also home to part of the National Collection of Beech trees and large leaved Hostas. Visiting the Royal Gardens provides an insight into the imagination of HRH The Prince of Wales who in directing the skills of many craftsmen and artists has created a garden full of wonder and surprise.
