Mount Pleasant Gardens

Mount Pleasant Gardens, Yeld Lane, Kelsall, Count Pleasant Gardens has been created from a blank canvas in just 20 years and now extends to over 10 acres. Never intended to be opened to the public, the garden visitor now has the rare opportunity to explore a new vibrant garden that has been solely created and gardened by its owners Dave and Louise (Darlington), purely to indulge their passion for plants and nature.

The garden has a tropical feel because of its many palms and bold planting schemes, which are packed full of so many plants. Due to its location on an open and sometimes windy hillside, shelter-belts firstly had to be established, but the south-westerly aspect and numerous springs, enabled the garden to rapidly develop into a lush and deceptively mature landscape that cascades down the hillside, with magnificent views across to the Welsh Hills. We now have a number of sculptures on permanent display throughout the gardens along with a Sculpture Trail to explore.
