Revel in the tranquillity of the award-winning contemporary Walled Garden at Scampston, designed by renowned Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf. Journey through the arresting perennial meadow, discover the contemporary waves of grass and take time to enjoy the calm of the contemplative 'silent garden'. Within the Walled Garden you'll also find our welcoming café serving delectable lunches and cream teas.

Beyond of the walled garden reveals Scampston Hall, one of the finest examples of a Regency country house in Yorkshire. The hall holds an impressive collection of art and antiques and is available to view by guided tour during the summer months. Private tours outside of the Hall open season can be arranged for groups of 15 or more.

The traditional Hall gardens and 'Capability' Brown parkland provide beautiful walks and scenic views out to the rising Wolds and include the stunning Palladian Bridge, a restored icehouse and the lakes brimming with wildlife. Visitors can also browse Scampston's plant nursery, which specialises in the beautiful and unusual species found in the garden, as well as a gift sales area.
