Tregenna Castle is an established Resort and renowned for its stunning sea and harbour views of St. Ives, top-notch facilities, 18 hole golf course, wedding venue and excellent range of hotel and self catering accommodation. But something that stands out for a lot of our visitors is the 72 acres of woodland and gardens that surround the castle.
The attention to detail since the current owner bought Tregenna Castle 30 years ago has been second to none. With the help and direction of a talented landscape architect, the land was transformed into an array of diversity and colour. With the mild climate, a subtropical garden was planted to replace an old vegetable and run-down flower garden. Positioned behind an 18th century wall, what you see today is an utterly breathtaking, secluded and tranquil walled garden full of exotic trees, plants and flowers that you can get lost in.
The surrounding woodland also makes for a wonderful and peaceful walk with an array of flora and fauna. Explore the many different paths and trails and discover the hidden waterfall before heading back to the castle to soak up more of the views with a delicious lunch, afternoon tea or dinner.
