Enjoy an inspirational day out at the award-winning West Dean Gardens, a place of beauty and tranquillity near Chichester in the South Downs.

Wander through the 300 foot Edwardian Pergola, Spring Garden and see the occasional surreal fibreglass tree. Visit the award-winning Sunken Garden and impressive collection of 13 restored and working Victorian Glasshouses which are home to a huge variety of plants. Explore the Walled Kitchen Garden and orchard with over a mile of walls covered in trained fruit trees.

See the rows of vegetables which sit alongside borders bursting with glorious flowers. Finish with a peaceful 2.5 mile circular walk through St Roche’s Arboretum and parkland.

The Gardens Gift Shop with unique gifts and plants, and VisitEngland endorsed restaurant overlook the beautiful Lavant Valley and parkland with the River Lavant running alongside.

Join us throughout the year at gardening events as well as courses and talks run by experts.
